v1 Beta 🎉

I've just released the first beta releases for both of the core packages:

• nativephp/laravel
• nativephp/electron

This is the home stretch!

There will still be a couple of significant features and changes coming, but we're on a very stable path towards v1 now—it's in sight!

You will need to update your composer.json to use at least "minimum-stability": "beta" ("dev" and "alpha" should also work).

Then run, composer require nativephp/electron -W to get the latest versions.

Just a few more weeks to go!

Impressive - just looked at the docs again since the original announcement, and this is an exciting project.

I think some of our employees could benefit from a desktop tool for helping them with some individual workloads they have. So this project seems to be really handy for that.

Hey man, does NativePHP support reverb yet? I remember being relatively discouraged from it as it didn't support reverb, which one of my projects was using at the time, but I didn't know how to fix it myself.

We stopped going down that route entirely as it wasn't going to be well supported cross-platform.

But that's not to say that real-time, reactive UIs aren't possible in NativePHP today!

What we ended with is much nicer imo as it has zero dependencies (you don't need Reverb or Echo) and zero configuration, so it works straight out of the box and cross-platform.

On top of that, if you want real-time updates from an externally-hosted websocket server (which may use Reverb, for example), you can still have your app connect to that too.
