I would like to clarify the way we take into account the ESD runs (Empirical and Statistical Downscaling) in the simulation tables for the CORDEX domains. Two points from my side:
From a CORDEX general framework point of view, I think that we need to consider them as RCM runs in the tables if they cover the Domain specifications and when we count the number of available runs
From the user point of view, I think that it should be clear in the simulation tables that we have ESD or ARCM or AORCM runs. As you collect this info when we register the source_id, this couled ba added as a line in any of the table (for example just below the source_id line or with a color code) such as [https://wcrp-cordex.github.io/simulation-status/CORDEX_CMIP6_status.html#MED-12]
I mention this point in particular following the point raised by Rasmus yesterday during the extended SAT meeting about the use of ESD in CORDEX. As an example for the CAM domain: so far, 24 runs are listed in the CAM-12 table, all performed with an ESD approach (I guess) but when @jesusff presents the list of available runs for CAM (bar plots), it is zero.
So we need to clarify
