Hi @Fabio286! I just stumbled upon this and as soon as i installed it: thought to come here to appreciate the efforts on Antares (also thanks to Pop Shop for suggesting this in the wilderness of many software offered). It's a breeze of fresh(er) air when you have been using HeidiSQL for like a very long time which I consider is cut above from other alternatives like MySQL Workbench. Though I consider that you still need to put in some more features to Antares but this looks very very promising. I'll definitely suggest more areas of improvement as I keep using it. Till then: my best wishes and congratulations for the wonderful work. Cheers! |

Hello everyone!
Here I am with the third development update with which I will try to explain the goal of future releases.
Currently on my to-do list are still improvements related to user experience.
After the addition of the new note system, which I hope you appreciated, I was thinking of improving the "all connections" tool and increasing the customization possibilities of Antares.
Among the customization features I am considering are the ability to load custom SVG icons for connections and the ability to change the accent color of the application, perhaps using that of the current folder.
My next step will then be to finally implement support for a new database: next on the list are DuckDB and SQLServer. We will return to this topic, however, in a future development update.
As you may know this project is being developed in my spare time, which is scarce for me lately.
I would like to devote much more time to Antares and indeed I make no secret of the fact that it would be nice to work on it full-time.
In this regard I was considering the idea of opening a Patreon profile and perhaps promote this project a little more.
However, I don't want to burden people and it is absolutely out of the question to include paid features, so from that point of view you don't have to worry.
I would love to get your thoughts on this, so please respond in the comments if you would like.
It would be nice to finally be able to offer a macOS version without problems that I can't fix at the moment, and distributed in the official store. I would also like to work on a web version of Antares, and maybe even a plugin system, but all of that takes time.
However it goes, I have no intention of abandoning this project, so don't worry 😉.
