How can we get a developer at GitHub to look into this? What good does it do to discuss this bug with other users? Since GitHub is closed source we can't do anything about this. |

I've created a ticket for this on https://support.github.com/ where I was seemingly just talking to a chatbot that doesn't really understand what I'm writing. It was asking me for a screen recording of the problem. I provided one. It then asked me again for a screen recording ... stuff like that. It said it couldn't reproduce the problem and that I should look in the GitHub Docs (how does that help?) or check this discussion forum. This is clearly a bug in GitHub that a developer has to look into. Discussing it with other users won't solve it. GitHub is closed source. So only developers working at GitHub can do anything about this. 🤷♂️ |

I ran into the same issue. I am constantly logined with Google Chrome. Our pipeline pushed a tag to the repo, and it is not visible in the dropdown on the actons tab. See fig. 1.
However it IS visible as a logined in another browser (MS Edge).
There is probably some issue with a browser cache (but I cannot figure what exactly). The following actions had no effect:

I'm having the same problem with new tags not showing in https://github.com/moodle/moodle I'm using Chrome. There is an entry in my browser's local storage with the key Now it has been over a month since the new tags got created and they are still not showing in the dropdown, not even when I explicitly search for them. Apparently GitHub uses local storage to cache the list of tags and branches for each repo. Workaround that worked for me:

On another machine I'm having the same problem. The You can artificially create/update that local storage entry with the value above to replicate the state I'm in where I'm having the issue. |

I can confirm this is a cache problem, but deleting the entry from the localstorage wasn't enough for me. The new tag won't appear. I literally had to manually edit the JSON localstorage value, add my tag name, and reload the page for this to work. |

I have an action workflow that creates adds and pushes a tag to my repository.
On the Tag/Releases, I can see the created Tag.
But when I try to see the Tag on the dropdown in another workflow in Actions, the Tag is not there.
If I run again the workflow that creates the tag, I can see both tags in the dropdown in Actions, the one that was not shown and the second new one.
Could someone help me?
