The first time I saw this badge labeled "Sponsor", I thought, "huh, wonder why they would make a button that looks like that. Oh well, that's where the sponsor button is", when later I actually realized that it was not a button, but an indicator that that organization sponsors another user or organization.
Even more confusing is the "GitHub Sponsor" label below the sections to the right. That definitely looked like it could be how you are supposed to sponsor the organization, because this time it looks like a link, and link elements do sometimes perform actions.
Though, in this case, "Developer Program Member" being there does make it easier to see that "GitHub Sponsor" is just an indicator.
Here's a picture showing both of these elements at the same time 😄
Confusinggggg. Hopefully there's something that could be done to make this clearer. I'd suggest a hovernote saying something like "this organization is sponsoring n organizations or users".
Although I could've probably figured this out in a few minutes, someone less tech-savvy would probably have a harder time, perhaps getting frustrated over why they can't figure out how to sponsor an organization, when that badge actually means "sponsor" the other way around.

Both of these are links to https://github.com/sponsors, whereas if you were to sponsor some organization like Homebrew, you'd actually need to go to https://github.com/sponsors/Homebrew, which is where the Sponsor button, next to the Follow button, takes you to.
