Github Copilot Chat VSCode not working

This issue only occurs in the Github Copilot Chat when I input some code, like this: <?php echo " It suggests code, but the Github Copilot Chat does not function when I open it. The "Sign In" button is present, but it does nothing."

I have the same thing except the copilot log is even shorter.

This issue still appears to be outstanding. I'm on VSC 1.92.1

I had the same problem when my VSCode updated to version 1.9. I went back to version 1.89 and everything normalized.

can also confirm that rolling back to 1.89 fixed this issue
