As of today, it just awkwardly shows deletions

If the file contains a lot of code like that, the additions can be hidden.
Expand the hidden parts by clicking the blue sections to see the full code and all changes.

I never said the blue midsections. Since you’ve made over 30k commits, it should be apparent which part of the blue section triggers the display of the hidden part. The left side of the blue section does, but either way you choose to expand it is not something I think we should be emphasising on.

Which of these matters more and is what you’ll build on in the future:
The updated change or the obsolete one.

Since you’ll be building on the updated change and leaving the obsolete one, the updated one does deserve larger column to help visualise better since that is what is more significant to the future.
