Gist QuickSearch No Longer Works and pressing "/" No Longer Focuses QuickSearch Input

Typically, you can press "/" to focus the search input to search through your personal gists. Something changed in the last few hours such that this no longer works.

Logged out, search works as usual; however, while logged in, the search input looks different and no longer gets focus when "/" is pressed. More importantly, typing a search query does nothing.

got disappointing reply from support..
it is impossible to search your own gists now : (

Thanks for your patience here. I've had it confirmed that this change was in fact intentional. The feature was in a state where it would have required substantial updating, and given that it was only giving results based on descriptions, it wasn't being used very much.

So there is no way of searching your own Gists anymore? Am I missing something or how should one find a gist among hundreds now?

support said this is only workaround currently

• go into https://gist.github.com/search
• type user:unitycoder with your search

But this is still pretty useless (for me at least), since i'd like to search by title only (like the quick search)
and last active date it useless, since it changes even if someone stars your gist (so you cannot sort them by creation date for example).
