Same problem here with the dependencie https://github.com/SheetJS/test_files/

When I try the issue in the recommandation, I have an error of permission denied publickey.

My solution was to replace the all lib with an other (exceljs). Long but lasting!

Sheetjs now offers it in a CDN way.

npm rm --save xlsx
npm i --save https://cdn.sheetjs.com/xlsx-0.20.3/xlsx-0.20.3.tgz

In my case, react-export-excel lib refers to the old Sheetjs repository. That was the cause of the problem.
this is package.json in node_modules/react-export-excel/package.json

  "dependencies": {
          ...
    "xlsx": ""git+https://github.com/securedeveloper/js-xlsx.git""
  },

so, I changed like this. and this works. I hope it works out well.

          ...
    "xlsx": "https://cdn.sheetjs.com/xlsx-0.20.3/xlsx-0.20.3.tgz"

Thanks @minsoftk ! That helped a lot. If you're using npm >= 8.3.0 you can also override the dependency in your package.json, e.g.
