I have a Pages site at https://github.io/mtsnys that was working beautifully before I tried to add a custom subdomain. I've added the subdomain in Settings > Pages > Custom Domain.
It's created a CNAME file in my project repository, and at my domain host I've created a CNAME pointing to mtsnys.github.io. My understanding is that I do not need to create A records because this is a subdomain, and not an apex domain.
After doing all of this, Settings > Pages says "DNS check successful." But when I visit my (tnp.mtsnys.org), it redirects to mtsnys.github.io and gives me a 404 page with the message "There isn't a GitHub Pages site here."
I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong! Anyone have ideas to help me troubleshoot?
