I have been using the remote_theme: rundocs/jekyll-rtd-theme for my jekyll site and it now has a 404 error when building the pages site. I reverted the update and the build continued to fail.

Does anyone know what happened to the rundocs org?

There is a configuration setting in

_config.yml

# Build settings
remote_theme: rundocs/jekyll-rtd-theme

The 404 error in the log

Error: 404 - Not Found - Loading URL: https://codeload.github.com/rundocs/jekyll-rtd-theme/zip/HEAD 

As I stated, this started happening just recently. I am also not that familiar with jekyll pages builds and am open to removing the remote theme and just using something builtin or active/available.

How is your jekyll pages site configured?

Hi @fiddlermikey ,

Your error is probably due to the fact that neither the rundocs org or the rundocs/jekyll-rtd-theme repo exist anymore on GitHub (they all return a 404 page not found).

I realized the entire org had been deleted. I am surprised there are not more orgs affected by this. I see a lot of documentation that refer to the rundocs.io site which also does not exist

I have solved it. By using the new remote_theme: clearpathrobotics/jekyll-rtd-theme.
