Outline feature on Markdown document no longer populates

After updating a file recently, I noticed that the outline feature no longer works. Typically, the outline feature provides suggestions when the end user types something into the "Filter Headings" search box. This expected functionality no longer works—even with keywords I know are in the document. Does something need to be reset on the backend?
