Hi All,

As checked Azure Linux Ubuntu VM, powershell cmdlet is automatically creating /tmp/.dotnet folder with full permission. Could you please check this support ticket from microsoft & github documentation to fix this issue in our system.

Hi Saikat.

Linux escalation is aware of the behavior.

As you correctly noticed, and informed by vulnerability scans, PowerShell itself uses the dotnet libraries for several cmdlets.

Unfortunately, the behavior is outside of Azure control.

We would kindly ask you to open a case with GitHub mentioning the link below as reference and Microsoft service request 2409240050000534.
