github.com top search bar - currently seeing rate limit issues

Is anyone else seeing the 'secondary rate limit' error today when just doing single searches in the github.com top level search bar with a regular web browser? There is not automation involved here. This has been happening for hours today.

Same, but the issue only occurs for me when logged out.

Same, it seems isolated to logged out searches luckily.

Thanks for the hints regarding searching while logged out. Logging in "solves" the problem for users with an account.

This is still happening when searching and not logged in. Every time. For any githubians listening here, if that is not a bug (i.e., intentional), then either (a) remove the search bar option for non-logged in sessions or (b) change the error message.
