So I'm reading here https://thelinuxcode.com/git-reset-remote/ which you would think that GitHub would provide a guide or that there would be an official manual for git. And in this page I read it covers why you woyld do resets and doesn't list the most obvious, push failed. You would expect this to happen because not everybody is hardwired into fibre-optic lines and connection intterupts happen. The Git user writes "There are a few common scenarios where resetting your local branch to match the remote state may be necessary" wouldn't a failed push because of a connection problem be common? User writes "When you‘ve made commits locally that you haven‘t pushed yet: If you‘ve been doing some experimental work locally that you want to undo, resetting to remote can give you a clean slate. " so again he doesn't cover how to achieve what is a common scenario: push failed. Yet I am supposed to rely on any page from Google search which is written according to his understanding, in his vulgar use of englis, and may have errors. The user writes "Resetting can be an invaluable tool for maintaining an organized collaborative workflow, but it can also destroy unpushed work if done improperly. " I agree my files are in jeapordy. So I am stuck here searching hours upon end with no answers.
