Repo languages are displaying the incorrect information

I suppressed all the unwanted calculations with .gitattributes file.

Though, for some reason 40 JS config files are showed as 42% of the entire codebase, which is not correct. I looked through all the 40 files and can't find the culprit.

Can anyone help me please?

Many of these don't appear to be suppressed by your .gitattributes.

I have fixed my problem with this commit vocably/vocably-pro@32cdfa8

The number of JS files has not changed https://github.com/search?q=repo%3Avocably%2Fvocably-pro++language%3AJavaScript&type=code, but my problem of wrongly detected language has gone.

I'm absolutely sure GitHub has a bug in their language calculation.

IIRC the language bar and the search results are provided by 2 different services:

• github-linguist: populates language bar, provides grammars for syntax highlighting
• go-enry: indexes files and their programming languages for code search

IDK if go-enry uses .gitattributes like github-linguist does.

Thank you for explaining!

I'm quite sure the problem is with the language bar, because my change to .githubattributes has not changed the code search results, but fixed the language bar. I had a space in one of my folder (vocably/vocably-pro@32cdfa8), the [[:space:]] for space has fixed the search problem, but not the language bar problem. So I simply excluded the entire root folder.
