With the addition of support for Bluesky, I have tried to add my Bluesky account into my profile. Since I've recently learned, the most recommended way to link to your Bluesky profile is using a DID atproto link.
The difference between linking with your handle and the decentralized ID is the fact that it will always point to your account whether or not the handle changes.
When I added my Bluesky profile using the DID, I have noticed that it shows the id directly, like it would normally do with a handle.
I think it would be nice if there was a possibility of GitHub resolving direct links and showcasing the current handle the id links to, like this:
