Hello, I am a computer science teacher in a semi-rural area in Texas, USA. I got an educator account verified, but apparently didn't accept the invite to the github group before the invitation expired. I was hoping to find out how to contact the group owner to get another invite. |

Hi, My name is Jupsimar Singh, and I teach Python, Data Analytics, and Database courses at Cambrian College. We utilize GitHub as a platform for students to store their code, showcase their work, and build their portfolios. My students also use GitHub to create assignments, portfolios, and APIs for various live projects. Additionally, we automate repetitive tasks and use free APIs to undertake industry-standard projects. I pride myself on being a good listener and an excellent teacher, capable of guiding and instructing anyone new to programming in Python and other languages. If you’re interested in learning how to develop software following best practices, please feel free to reach out! Thank you, Jupsimar Singh |

Hi there, my name is Manel or here in GitHub @manelme, I teach subjects related to programming and computer science in the University of Almería. In the different subjects that I taugh, GitHub is a must, not only for code management but also for documentation and project management. We have been using GitHub for a long time and I have seen how it has evolved and how it has become a key tool for developers. If there is any chance to get some swag to motivate the students, I would be very grateful. Best regards and nice to meet you all. |

Hi! My name is Martin / @tinxo, and I teach programming and software engineering topics in the Computer Science programs at the National University of Misiones (Argentina 🇦🇷). I work with C#, Python, occasionally PHP, and Bash. We utilize GitHub for more than just code versioning; it's also instrumental in project management and automating processes for product deployment. Receiving some swag for my students would be greatly appreciated as we are about to host a workshop on the basics of Git and GitHub. Thanks! |

Hi! My name is Maxim (@Maximvdw) and I teach Computer Science at Vrije Universiteit Brussel for 5 years now. I give courses like Web Technologies and Next Generation User Interfaces. Officially using versioning control is not part of the curriculum and is considered a soft skill. However, I find it benefits both me and my students to let them use github to build up their portfolio and to work together with other group members. I highly recommend them to use github for group projects so we can more easily help them with questions/issues while simultaneously also improving group communication. I help students use issue tracking, managing pull request and generally how they can contribute to OSS. Receiving some swag for students is always welcome, even if its just to get students slightly motivated in joining these non-mandatory, but important exercises. Cheers! |

Hi! My name is Carlos Tessier, and I am a vocational training teacher specializing in web development. My primary focus is on teaching students how to build and deploy modern, responsive, and functional websites using JavaScript and CSS. In my classes, I aim to provide a practical and collaborative learning experience. To achieve this, I utilize GitHub Classroom as a key tool for project submissions and teamwork. Students work on group projects where they apply agile methodologies to collaboratively design, develop, and deploy the frontend of web applications. They showcase their work directly on GitHub Pages, giving them hands-on experience with industry-standard tools and workflows. I also believe in keeping my students motivated and engaged. Providing stickers and Git manuals has been a great way to spark their interest in version control and help them learn how to manage repositories effectively. These small resources not only make the learning process more enjoyable but also provide them with a handy guide they can refer to while working on their projects. My goal is to prepare my students for the real-world challenges of web development, equipping them with the technical skills, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities they’ll need in their careers. |
