Copilot: Handling of my code by GitHub

Hi,

I'm considering to use GitHub copilot at my workplace. Naturally, the code of the corporate's products is private, and so it should remain.
So I'm wondering whether GitHubs makes any use of my code that gets uploaded to the company's servers when using copilot:

• Which code gets uploaded? The current file? The whole project?
• Is the code kept on GitHub's servers?
• If it does - for how long, for which purposes, and how is it secured?

Is there some official answer that can be found on the subject?
