Why not added as a Contributor?

Hello,

I have follow the process to contribute to a Microsoft Documentation, and my contribution was added and already appears reflected in the Documentation, however I was not added as Contributor and I don´t understand why?

What I have done:

• I have open the Microsoft Documentation, where I wanted to add my contribution
• Selected the pencil icon, and then selected the pencil icon again
• I have added my Contribution to the document
• Then I have selected "Create pull request" - the green button 
• I have received notification that "Pull request successfully merged and closed"
• I can see my Note added on the documentation already and the number of contributors did not increase with my name.

Meanwhile I have been in contact with one of the contributors of the document/the person responsible to accept my contribution and the colleague also doesn´t know why I was not added, since it has been days.

It's possible that your contribution was merged by someone who is not the repository owner or one of the maintainers, and they did not have the permissions to add you as a contributor to the project. In this case, you can try reaching out to the repository owner or maintainers and requesting to be added as a contributor.
