Deprecation of code search sorting is unhelpful and inefficient for searching for *new* repos

We are deprecating support for sorting code search results. Once these changes take effect, all code search results will be sorted by best match.

Note: This field is deprecated, and will be ignored after April 10, 2023 (except on GitHub Enterprise Server). Sorts the results of your query. Can only be indexed, which indicates how recently a file has been indexed by the GitHub search infrastructure. Default: best match

order string
Note: This field is deprecated, and will be ignored after April 10, 2023 (except on GitHub Enterprise Server). Determines whether the first search result returned is the highest number of matches (desc) or lowest number of matches (asc). This parameter is ignored unless you provide sort.

Default: desc

Can be one of: desc, asc

So anyone who is doing code searches based on last indexed in descending order in order to find new repos is now going to be forced to fetch the entire set of results rather than just the first page or few. This is both inefficient to the client side and the server side and IMO the sign of an API limitation on the GH side leaking back down to the client.
