It was hard to see that the checkboxes were already checked and hence I kept clicking on them until I zoomed in to see the tick mark icon.

Hello @ameytessact - there were some recent updates to the checkbox color contrast ratios. When I re-tested this issue using the default dark theme, I found the checkboxes to be easier to see if they were checked or not. Could you please re-test on your side? If they are still an issue for you, could you let me know what OS, browser, and GitHub theme you are using? Thanks!
