Removing and Adding Top Repositories in start page of Github

Can you allow the user to add and remove top repositories at the start page manually and/or is there a way to do that at the moment? Thanks!

Yes, you can add and remove repositories from your starred repositories list on GitHub. However, you cannot add or remove repositories from the top repositories section on the GitHub dashboard. The top repositories section is automatically generated by GitHub based on your recent activity on the platform

To add a repository to your starred repositories list, you can click on the star icon on the repository page or in a list of starred repositories. To remove a repository from your starred repositories list, you can click on the star icon again

'The top repositories section is automatically generated by GitHub based on your recent activity on the platform' is exactly what should be improved. This is actually why I made this discsussion in the first place. I would personally like to see it receive the interactivity, so the user themselves can decide their top repo and not have it automatically decided for them (or maybe have this as an option. which is the best of both worlds).

This seems to do nothing for private repositories and you don't have the option of pinning them. I'd love to be able to pin or automatically have repos I actually use available at the top where repos I haven't touched in at least 3 months should be pushed down to the bottom.

Maybe the edit could be that the auto-generated list (excluding priv/pub pins) shows below.
