"Sign in to Github" on "2024 WPI VS Code" fails repeatedly

Help yo, it takes me to a page that tells me I'm 'all good to go', (that I'm signed in) but when I return to the IDE I'm still not signed in and cannot see any repositories when I go hit "clone git repository"
