I have not seen this issue before. Are you able to provide more information about your setup, including dev board and software? Any OpenThread log output you can provide? |

Has anyone encountered an issue where the network key gets stuck at 00000000000000000000000000000000, and only rebooting the development board will resolve this issue?
I tried setting network key in two ways, with otThreadSetNetworkKey, and via CLI commands. Both will execute without errors, but neither actually change the network key when it is stuck at all 0's.
In fact, when I encounter 2 boards having the same problem, they are actually able to communicate with each other, as they have the same network key (all 0's, two wrongs made a right I guess, but of course I would still like to eliminate the error).
This error typically occurs when my device tries to join a network. During its detached stage, its network key is correct, but after a while it just becomes the leader with network key 00000000000000000000000000000000.
