hey folks! sorry for opening yet another one discussion thread for this topic, but i think it would make sense to centralize everything related to this topic on this thread/discussion.
for whom don't know, a bit of background context here in a "timeline" like structure: since set 2023 i started to make a rewrite of the libraries offering integration with Supabase APIs for the elixir language called supabase-potion1. in set 2023 i also opened the first github discussion2 referencing this project.
before i started to develop them i searched for already existing ones and found some as i presented into the supa-squad3 meeting on nov 2023. these existing libraries was maintained mostly by @treebee.
so the supabase-potion development continued and i presented updated and progress into the supa-squad meeting4 again in may 2024! i also presented into the Elixir Days5 event6 here in brazil, may yet.
then my last presentation and progress update of supabase-potion was into the supa-squad7 meeting of set 2024.
on august 2024 @bymayanksingh opened the second github discussion8 showing interest on contribute to the ecosystem.
since i started to develop supabase-potion i was in touch with @filipecabaco, specially with ideas to implement a direct way to expose the realtime library to other elixir via probably via phoenix pub sub and i also invited him to the elixiremfoco9 podcast which i'm also co-host in march 2024 to talk about open source and Supabase in general.
finally, some weeks ago i asked for filipe about open source sponsorship, since i would like to focus entirely on the supabase-potion development, bug fixes, new features implementations and also extensive documentation.
so the idea of opening this new discussion, besides centralizing the discussion and next steps of the supabase-potion project is also to understand the criterias to move the supabase-potion libraries under the supabase-community org and what are the possibilities to handle the already existing gotrue-ex and postgrest-ex libraries that doesn't have active development since 2021.
