SFTP transfer issues

I want to transfer my collection via SFTP how ever I have a complex password that includes |"* characters. CyLR seems to believe that the use of those characters are invalid commands. I tested this by removing those characters and see the error that I would expect to see from a wrong password. How should I handle complex passwords when inputting my command line options. Thanks for the help
