Apache nominatim/ui 404

I have a new 4.5.0 install and full import on ubuntu 22.04. I followed the guide to setup the apache ui 3.5.3 but only see 404 from apache.

Requests to /nominatim/search are successful but requests to the UI /nominatim/ui/search.html give a 404

I tried changing the UI alias in apache conf to

Alias /nominatimui /srv/nominatim/nominatim-ui-3.5.3/dist

and now I can get to the UI at /nominatimui/search.html, however, I cannot search and see errors like this

Error fetching data from http://localhost/nominatim/status.php?format=json (TypeError: Load failed)

On my server localhost is fine

Have I got something very wrong or do I need some extra config?

Ahh I found setting "Nominatim_Config.Nominatim_API_Endpoint" and now it works.

As for my initial problem I think there is problem with the apache config added by 4.5.0 and nominatim ui

nominatim ui
Alias /nominatim/ui /srv/nominatim/nominatim-ui-3.5.3/dist

4.5.0 install
ProxyPass /nominatim "unix:/run/nominatim.sock|http://localhost/"`

Hmm, so in that case using something like Alias /nominatim-ui /srv/nominatim/nominatim-ui-3.5.3/dist would be better. The UI can be on any host, any path.

Yes a different UI alias avoids a conflict with the proxy pass
