Due to the changes in PR #652 There is now a log entry for missing agent.conf files. Not having an agent.conf is a perfectly valid way to use OSSEC. Do we want to see this error message?

2015/10/28 13:48:08 ossec-logcollector(1226): ERROR: Error reading XML file '/var/ossec/etc/shared/agent.conf': XMLERR: File '/var/ossec/etc/shared/agent.conf' not found. (line 109).

I've found this confusing so it'd be nice for the error to either be marked as a warning or not shown at all.
