Seems like there are a few inconsistencies when loading different plugin formats between the aur package and appimage. They source the same configs so it doesn't look like a config issue my end.

ugh... the VST3 issues seems to be a problem with AppImage which replaces "/usr" string literals in the binary by "././" ...
