HI,

I am using Big Sur last stable release 11.2.2 with a 4K 60 Hz monitor at a resolution of 3008x1692 by Display Port cable and immediately had flickering problems. I applied the Osy workaround patch (force fps) and fixed it but I noticed that when playing video there are graphic artifacts that disappear if I disable the patch. How can I solve?

Thanks

I have flickering using a 4k60 display with a new 1440p144Hz monitor I bought... Was working perfect with just the one monitor. In fact as long as only 1 is plugged in it works perfectly.

What is your other monitor resolution?

Flickering is present at any resolution on a 4k 60Hz monitor! Even with BigSur 11.3.1 the problem continues, Apple has not solved anything in this regard. The Osy Patch (workaround) solves the problem but if I watch movies I notice serious artifacts with moving images and it is annoying. This is really making me think about taking Hackintosh off and staying on Windows for good, it's frustrating that no one can find a decent solution to this :-(

I am experiencing the same issue. I'm using two LG Thunderbolt Ultrafine 4K displays connected via the two TB ports in the back. Thunderbolt Port is patched to native support and anti flickering patch is activated. I have got flickering on both monitors when anti flickering patch is not activated. With this patch flickering is (mostly) gone - but playing a video full screen on one monitor brings the problem back. On rare occasions I get some flickering (even without playing a video). In this case a reboot or putting the machine to sleep resolves the issue. Any ideas?

You may try to turn on the freesync option in your monitor if supported

When I connect only the 4K display, it works fine via HDMI or via DP.
As soon as I connect a 2nd or 2nd and 3rd lower resolution display, the 4K display starts to flicker.
The flicker fix only helps partially.
With Ventura 13.3, the flicker fix seems to work even less. (With the new PolarisFixUp that removes the image artifacts.)
