Restrict chat to own groups

It would be nice if it was possible to restrict users ability to see (and chat with) users in other groups and, possibly, an "admin" that can see (and is visible to) all users.

I'm more than happy to fork, add the feature, and submit a PR if there is interest in this.

I'm not sure when I'm going to be able to work on it, but it'll be soon; this is a feature I really want to see. Give me a week or two and I might have something.

This would really be a feature required for us to work with the chat app. There are so many users on our installation that don't know each other and that we don't want to get to know each other. For example, I'm using it for both private users as business users and the latter really just need to see users from their own group only. I'm looking forward to your work KeMBro2012!

@Aesculapius that's precisely my use case, as well. Unfortunately, I went from being laid out with a cold to being laid out with a back injury, so I haven't had a chance to touch this yet. I've got about a 2 week backlog of missed work to catch up on before I can even touch this.
Just checking in to let you now where I am with this and that it is coming, but you probably shouldn't hold your breath for it.

I've been insanely busy this year and, as a result, haven't had a chance to get to this yet. It's still in the works, as I'd like to start using the chat system sooner, rather than later, but I can't make it a priority at this time.
