Accessibility issues in beta version 6 #12026
Comments
Hey @fcnjd - the upcoming major version 6 of the desktop client already got a lot of accessibility improvements. https://github.com/owncloud/client/releases/tag/v6.0.0-rc.1 |
Hey @DeepDiver1975 ,

This issue was marked stale because it has been open for 30 days with no activity. Remove the stale label or comment or this will be closed in 7 days. |
As I don't think that this issue should get closed already, I'll now keep it open - but changed the title accordingly, so that the findings from my previous post won't get lost. I'd be very happy if they could get addressed one day in the future. |

Describe the bug
I am blind and use the NVDA screenreader. For some reason I got logged out from my user account (can't tell if it happened automatically or I did it somehow accidentally). As soon as that happened, the tray icon changed from being labeled "ownCloud: Success" to an unlabelled item, which is very bad to handle.
Expected behavior
The tray icon should still have a label when the user account is logged out, something like ownCloud: logged out instead of Success could be very helpful.
