I had set up ownCloud to Sync 1.2.1 on the mac to a linux server running 5.0.0RC1. All was working - I had a folder (A) with 5 files in it that was shared with me by another user. I then created another folder (B) inside of folder (A) and dragged a file from (A) into (B). The app got really mad, stopped syncing that folder and refused to restart the sync. The other folder kept syncing as usual.
Since I didn't have write permissions for that Shared folder on the server, the folder should have said that rather than erroring with an obtuse error message.
As soon as I gave write permissions, everything worked fine, but the error needs to be clear so a user can figure out the problem.

Having a fix on the server for the problem described above and a fix on the client handling the fail of the propagation of the rename more gracefully, we can close this as fixed.
