Owncloud ldap config: searching forever

Searching forever:

• Nutzer-Filter -> running forever retriving again and again the same set of entries from the ldap server for "Nur diese Nutzer Klassen", "Nur von diesen Gruppen"
• Anmeldefilter -> running forever retriving again and again the same set of entries from the ldap server for "Andere Attribute"
• Gruppen-Filter -> running forever retriving again and again the same set of entries from the ldap server for "Nur diese Objekt-Klassen", "Nur von diesen Gruppen"

Configuration changes are not possible, since owncloud waits until the processes retriving "Nutzer Klassen", "Groups", "Attributes", "Objekt-Klassen", Groups" will never end. No changes will be submitted to the configuration database.

Owncloud 7.0 on OL 6.5 (apache 2.2, php 5.5).

This bug was once there with 6.0.3. Looks like the very same with 7.0.0.

I've just tried it out in the blue. The fix given in #8623 isn't applied in OwnCloud 7.0.0 and 7.0.1 (regression? or intentionally?). I've applied it and got rid of this problem. Now reading ldap stops after some time -- not sure if this has any drawbacks ...

Experienced the same behaviour while setting up a huge installation ~ 40k.
I'll take a look at the referenced issues and try to investigate.

Unfortunately the fix in #8623 was not ported to master back then i.e. failed to get into OC 7. My apologies :( I ported it to master and stable 7 on August 28th, right after release of 7.0.2. Thus, the fix will be in 7.0.3.

btw, following is a link to the commit to stable7. It basically moves one line, i.e. it is easy to patch even manually if you want for so long. Ignore apps/user_ldap/tests/wizard.php as they are just tests and neither needed nor present in the releases. 2b001ad
