Moving folder changes public share link #5689
Comments
This shouldn't happen. @schiesbn What do you think? |
I agree that the public link shouldn't change in this case... I will look into it. |
I tried it with 5.0.13 and the upcoming OC6 but can't reproduce it. Can you try it again with the latest version and report back if it is still an issue? If it is still an issue, maybe you can provide more details. Thanks! |
I'm now using Version ownCloud 5.0.13 and the problem appears to be fixed. I have a top-level folder "ownCloud Development" which I shared with a public link: http://sobac.com/owncloud/public.php?service=files&t=a41f6ad3fc55642fafa1791885aa8cb1 I have a second top-level folder "Public": http://sobac.com/owncloud/public.php?service=files&t=90713e4d305801a6f5663be12fcdf874 I move the "ownCloud Development" folder into "Public", now "Public/ownCloud Development" has the share link: http://sobac.com/owncloud/public.php?service=files&t=a41f6ad3fc55642fafa1791885aa8cb1 Hmmm... That's not the behaviour I was seeing when I reported the issue on 5.0.12 - Thanx to the developers for a pre-emptive fix! --Bob. |
The public link on a folder changes when that folder is moved.
I have shared a folder using a public link (with uploads). When I move that folder to a different location (sub-folder) the public link changes.
Expectation: It's the same folder; public users don't know about my folder structure, and so the public link shouldn't change.
Server: Ubuntu 12.04.03
ownCloud: 5.0.12
