Running ownCloud 6.0 (stable) on an Ubuntu 13.10 server, using the http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/isv:ownCloud:desktop/xUbuntu_13.10/ repository. MySQL is my backend.

On the admin page, I see:

==Setup Warning==
Your web server is not yet properly setup to allow files synchronization because the WebDAV interface seems to be broken. Please double check the installation guides.

But WebDAV appears to be working fine; I can even go to webdavs://myserveraddress/owncloud/remote.php/webdav/ via my file browser (Dolphin or Konqueror) and see and edit my files directly via webdav!

On the IRC channel I've seen at least one other person mention this issue, so it isn't just me.

Is there an underlying issue here, or is the warning entirely in error? Is there anything else specific that I should test to try and elucidate this?

Is your ownCloud running on https ? The WebDAV check might have issues with self-signed certificates.

@keithzg if you're using SSL, then it's the same as #7045
