No email set when using IMAP authentication

I'm using the IMAP authentication and I see that the email address is not stored in table oc_accounts when creating the account during first login.
This means OC cannot send email notifications (e.g. from activity app) to those users as their email is NULL in oc_accounts.

I expect that the email (= username for login) is saved as email in oc_accounts.
