Can anyone look into some of the Residency programs being offered by other colleges?

I'll have a look. Although I should warn you that such a program will require lots of efforts, as it revolves around the whims of the alumni. Plus, it should involve a good participation from the students, otherwise there isn't really a point of all this.

We will give it a try , if it will be within comfort zone ,then surely we will implement it.

Zabardasti kuch bhi nahi karna hai. Thats first.

Good point.
I think we should do some kind of session just with the girls of our college to find out whether they are actually interested or not. There is no point in putting in so much effort if the people we are doing it for don't participate.

Let's do this after our introductory session in August call the first year and second year girls and find out whether they will be interested or not.

@palash25 conducting such a session for girls will really be helpful.. we really need a pushing force/inspiration to actually go ahead..

We will see how many girls turn up for such a session and then decide whether to take this forward or not. If its just one or two girls like you then we can mentor them ourselves.

@palash25 I have some confusion here, why are we linking Residency program to girls participation??

I hope girls turn out in impressive number.

Because the Residency program is for girls. Read the message that Ayush posted and what Anirudh bhaiya said. Have a look at what he said especially the pronouns that he used

During her stay, she can interact with the students, share personal experiences, or even coach on topics she is good at

He was talking about female alumni from our college now working as software devs.

This was actually in reply to a comment I made on LinkedIn a few days ago when he asked me about the zero female participation
Read this whole thread to get the context

Can you confirm this @ayush1999 ? Are you and I on the same page?
