Hi @paetzke !

It seems the last update on MELPA is from 2016. I'd like to propose myself to take over the maintainance of this package.
Would that be possible ?

@wizmer @paetzke has been inactive on github for quite some time now, and is likely not reading this. If you want to continue maintaining this, probably the best way would be to fork the repo and rename the package, and publish it separately on melpa.

It might be worth considering whether py-isort.el is obsoleted by python-isort which is built on reformatter.

And there's also emacs-format-all-the-code, and this discussion about a unified approach, and there is apheleia
