Dropdowns / Popovers autoclose when clicked subsequently

Describe the bug
When clicking select / combobox / dropdowns ... between different tabs, they flicker and auto-close

To Reproduce

1. Open a project editor
2. From tab menu open two inventory uis
3. click a select dropdown in one, click a select dropdown in the other
4. observe auto-closing

This also happens inside the same tab between the scrollgroup selector and a select component inside the webview.
It even happens between the scrollgroup selector and the bcv control.

Expected behavior
Dropdown should either stay closed, stay opened or should open without auto-closing.
