Issue #402 on the docs repo suggests improving people's fundamental understanding of the Parse Platform.

I think there are two important questions to answer:

  1. What is the Parse Platform?
  2. Why should I use it? / what does it offer?

I'd say both of these questions are answered in one place or another e.g. on the parse server wiki. However, what with all the different repos I think it makes sense to centralise some of this on the Parse Platform website.

This would perhaps involve adding a new section below the header.

Below is an image of the homepage with two possible locations for the new section I am proposing:

  • Option 1 - in header above graphic
  • Option 2 - at the top of the main body

@acinader difficult to say, I'm not sure either feel quite right:

Option 1 - the header graphic should be at the top so I don't want to add too much content up there
Option 2 - the main body is made up of headers and 'cards' so I don't know whether it would look right unless it was clear that it was a different section

I'm almost wondering whether it should be sandwiched between the bottom of the header graphic and the nav bar. Perhaps extending the 'construction' style of the header.

I'll have a play around with this and report back, let me know if you have any thoughts.
