Having to work in OCaml is great - but there are tools that would make the site faster such as:

  • Minifying CSS, HTML and JS before responding. This should probably be done at build time rather than runtime to only incur the cost of minifying once.
  • Responsive images: mobile devices don't need full-resolution images but I don't want to have to manually upload different resolutions. A tool for automatic resizing and device inference would really help.
