I run an installation of OpenDB (1.6beta4) on a 14.04.1 Ubuntu Server (PHP 5.5.9 / MySQL 5.5.41 / Apache 2.4.7).
My problem is, that it is unusable since the main menu, admin menu and the tabs (e.g. Information) were not shown up on click. They exist in the delivered html code.
This behavior is unrelated to the used browser, I tried Firefox, Midori and Chromium. So I think it is a problem of OpenDB (fresh installation and old but updated).

I can't reproduce that. For instance the demo site is at the same version, and I get no such issues. Can you also try the demo from your same client machine.

Hi, I've tested a little: your demo works fine, a fresh installation of old 1.5.0.7 from late 2010 works fine, my installation of actual master.zip (updated to save the data) as same as a fresh installation of master.zip didn't work.
I tried the theme-files of the old version - no mess, but it doesn't work too.

EDIT: In total I tried four browsers now, all show the same behaviour. There's no difference between SSL and non-SSL, but I usually force to SSL.
So what are the changed needs of server configuration between the version from october 2010 to the latest?

Version 1.6beta4 menus work without any problem with default theme. Firefox on desktop comp or Chrome for Android on tablet.

I would suggest you check your browsers developer tools for javascript errors or if some files are not loaded. (See console and network tabs)
