"When you support universal links, iOS users can tap a link to your website and get seamlessly redirected to your installed app without going through Safari. If your app isn’t installed, tapping a link to your website opens your website in Safari."
This will be especially useful for Group GSR invite emails. If the user clicks the link in the email from their phone, iOS will immediately open Penn Mobile and pass to it the appropriate query params. If the user doesn't have Penn Mobile, it will open the website (maybe pennmobile.pennlabs.org? or gsr.pennlabs.org?) which will explain the invite and allow the user to accept and/or have them download the app.
