I'm occasionally experiencing this and it looks like someone asked this question on SO:

The block of code in PushPlugin.m about registering to APN is almost identical to the code described in the SO question.

Is anyone having this issue? Should we add the answer given to the SO question? I haven't tested it.

We realized during our testing that there was another provisioning profile on our test devices. Once this profile was removed and the device restarted, the duplicate push notifications went away.
