Software runs on RPi 2, but I keep getting DEvice not present error

Hi everyone, hoping for a bit of assistance,

I have set up a SD card on a Raspberry Pi 2 (using the PI2 kernel.img) according to the instructions. When powering up, the black/blue menu appears on the montor attached via HDMI to the RPi, and I can navigate the menu and emulate files. However, after connecting the RPi with an actual Commodore 64, I keep getting the ?Device not present error. Both C64 and cable are tested and working with a real 1541 drive.

What am I missing? What do you need from me to pinpoint the error?

Show the contents of the config and options files.
Show clear photos of the Hat board on both sides.
Otherwise, we don't know where to start.

Looking at the filenames, it looks like you have all the required files to run 1541 Disk Drive emulation.
