Microphone doesn't work after exiting the afsk mode

When I send an afsk message and I leave the menu by clicking the exit key, my microphone stops working, squelch doesn't open automatically and the recieve led doesn't light up until I turn the radio off and on again. Also sometimes leaving the asfk menu leaves the screen blank until the radio is turned off and on again.
