@Pixelfed is linkified but loads endlessly (doesn't load),
while the full url @Pixelfed@pixelfed.social works correctly.

We could guess it is on the current instance, but this will make problems with federation, I think the real solution would be auto completion like mastodon and then maybe hiding the instance in displayed mentions when you are on the same instance. - and not linkfying incomplete handles.

The issue extends to profile names with dots, like @moonwatch.band - only the part before the dot is linkified
