Notifications system

Uncle Dave really wants to be able to send email notifications through the volunteer database. As an admin or department lead you'd have the ability to send out emails to different user groups / roles.

Department leads for apogaea requested a way to be able to send notifications to individual users. For example, if a user signs up for several shifts they could become qualified for a guaranteed ticket and the lead would be able to send them a message.

Another suggestion from department leads:

Is there anyway we could be notified of the volunteers email address when they sign up for any BAMF shift so we can send update emails to all our staff?

An automatic email when they sign up would be ideal but a weekly report would also be perfect.

We would just like to be able to communicate important information and verify attendance before the event.

Is there a reminder function in the project? Like sending an email before a volunteers shift?
